Got

Game?

The brand ambassador campaign with the up and coming Indian Cricket sensation, Shubman Gill as the new face of Wings Lifestyle.

The Brief

Wings was predominantly a gaming audio brand, and the challenge was to introduce Shubman Gill as the face of the brand while trying to slowly stray away from the gaming ideology without leaving it behind as well. Not only was this a brand ambassador launch campaign, this was also sort of a rebranding exercise for Wings to go back to their Lifestyle roots.

The Aamras Treatment

With the odds stacked against us while we were racing against time, we understood we had to thread this needle pretty carefully and pretty well. The first breakthrough was in the tagline, which was "Got Game". It was perfect, aggressive, active towards the customer, made sense for Shubman as well as Wings, worked for a gaming focused audience as well as the mainstream audience as well. Along with this, we went with a visual design of using paper-cut graphics + grunge elements which gave a very street style vibe to it. The campaign worked wonders as the proceeding launches worked much better than expected. You could say we "Gill-ed" it
(Geddit like killed it.)
